Passivhaus is not new, but until now it has been applied mostly at a domestic, residential level. There have only been a few buildings of the scale of urbanest Battersea that have successful been designed and constructed to Passivhaus standards.

The challenge therefore is scaling an established domestic building standard and applying it to a large commercial residence. It requires buy-in and a strong commitment from all stakeholders and a change of mindset from our contractors.
