We are delighted to have reached practical completion at urbanest Canary Wharf.

As the tenth and largest community in our portfolio, urbanest is thrilled to have achieved this milestone thanks to incredible collaboration and commitment from all of the teams and partners involved.

Sustainability at Scale

Through its Passivhaus design, urbanest Canary Wharf sets a new standard for sustainability in student accommodation, reinforcing our dedication to building responsibly, supporting our residents, and shaping a more sustainable future.

Subject to final certification, urbanest Canary Wharf is due to open in September as the UK’s biggest Passivhaus building, and one of the largest globally.

At the end of June, urbanest Canary Wharf completed its final whole-building airtightness test. The result achieved was an impressive air permeability result of 0.62 m³/h.m², which in industry terms represents an outstanding achievement, exceeding the below 1 m³/h.m² that is generally deemed as excellent within the industry according to our partners Henriksen.
