Founded in 2009, urbanest is now London’s leading specialist student accommodation provider, with nine unique properties housing more than 4,500 students in prime locations across central London. We work closely with the capital’s major universities and award-winning architects, to deliver the highest quality accommodation and an unrivalled student living experience.

All of our properties are close to universities, transport and some of the most exciting areas of London. We have properties in Hoxton, Tower Bridge, King’s Cross, St Pancras, Westminster Bridge, Vauxhall, Victoria and in the heart of the City of London. We opened our latest property at Battersea Power Station in September 2024, with our next opening coming to Canary Wharf in the next few years.

At urbanest, we have always had a particular way of doing things. It is our way of making sure that we are doing everything we can to care responsibly for our residents, our staff, our local environments and our planet.

It is why our first building in Hoxton adopted biomass energy, why the electricity in all of our buildings comes from sustainable sources and why our commitment to BREEAM and Passivhaus ensures that our new developments will be amongst the most sustainable student accommodation ever built.

It’s why we share our facilities with the local community, provide resident bursaries and why we provide office space for local start-up businesses. It is also why we provide a living environment for our residents that allows them to live happily, safely and sustainably.
