Celebrating Collaboration at urbanest Canary Wharf
Last month, urbanest welcomed project partners and key stakeholders to Canary Wharf to celebrate the opening of our newest student community. The group gathered to recognise and acknowledge the collaboration that has brought this landmark development to life.
Hosted in the incredible 10th floor Skybridge, the event brought together representatives from across the project team, creating an opportunity to reflect on the journey from the first concept meetings in 2019 to completion in 2026.

A Sector-Leading Development
urbanest Canary Wharf represents a significant milestone for both urbanest and the wider purpose-built student accommodation sector. Set to be one of the largest Passivhaus student accommodation schemes in the world upon certification, the development demonstrates how ambitious sustainability goals can be successfully integrated with high-quality living environments designed to support student wellbeing and success.
The event provided an opportunity to showcase the completed community ahead of welcoming its first residents and to share the story behind the development.
Throughout the afternoon, guests heard reflections on the importance of partnership working, and the shared commitment to delivering a scheme that will support generations of students in the years ahead.

Our Partners
As urbanest continues to grow, partnerships with London universities remain central to our approach. Developments such as Canary Wharf are only possible through strong relationships, shared expertise and a collective commitment to creating outstanding places for students to live, learn and thrive.
We would like to thank all of the partners and stakeholders who joined us to mark this important milestone and everyone who has contributed to the success of the project.
We look forward to welcoming the first students to urbanest Canary Wharf and to sharing the next chapter in the life of this remarkable development.
