As home to more than 4,600 students in London, we have a duty of care and a responsibility to ensure that our residents feel safe, supported, and happy.

The governance of urbanest is structured with this in mind. We are committed to operating with integrity, kindness, and understanding. Best-practice fire safety procedures, electrical maintenance, and high levels of staff training are all standard. These measures are designed to create an environment where residents feel secure, comfortable, and at home.

Aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals

In 2021, our senior management team made the decision to align urbanest’s business governance with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This reflects our commitment to improving health and education, reducing inequality, fostering economic growth, tackling climate challenges, and preserving urban environments.

Specifically, we have aligned urbanest with SDGs focused on gender equality, responsible consumption and production, climate action, and life on land.

Our partnership with education charity Ark, which provides financial bursaries and fully funded accommodation for underprivileged students, also aligns with the SDG advocating for quality education.

By embedding these principles into our business, we aim to actively contribute to a global movement for peace, prosperity, and sustainability—both now and for future generations.
