Our development at 103 Camley Street opened in August 2014, just a year after urbanest King’s Cross which is located close by. It is a large mixed-use development sited next to Regents Canal to the north of St Pancras Station.
The scheme falls within the King’s Cross Opportunity Area and is made up of 313 student accommodation units alongside 40 residential apartments, office incubator space and a supermarket.
With direct access to the canal’s towpath, urbanest St Pancras provides quick and easy access to Camden to the North and Granary Square, Coal Drops Yard and the international transport hubs of King’s Cross and St Pancras to the south.

The site’s location next to the canal brought its own set of development challenges. During excavation, the Victorian canal walls were found to be much thinner than had been tested, causing significant amounts of water to leak into the basement. This resulted in the water level of the canal lowering by 1cm and required many fire engines to pump out the site.
Until urbanest Canary Wharf opens in 2026, our Camley Street development is our only development to feature residential apartments along side student accommodation.
