urbanest is excited for Head of Development Angus Kearin and Chief Operating Officer Anthony Mellalieu to appear as part of an in-conversation panel session at the 2025 Wellness Real Estate & Communities Symposium, discussing how the wellbeing of urbanest residents influences our design approach, specifically at urbanest Battersea.

With urbanest striving to be one of the first residential developments in the UK to be recognised by the WELL Building Standard, as part of their global residential pilot, the Global Wellness Institute have included urbanest Battersea in their latest research report Build Well to Live Well: The Future, launching in June. As one of the featured case studies, urbanest will join the report authors on stage on June 17th in New York City.

WELL for Residential’s pillars neatly define what we want our communities to have at their core; from improving the air quality within the building to assisting our students productivity levels and ability to study, to boosting activity and daily movement and the right sort of lighting to optimize sleep.

The symposium brings together real estate leaders from across the globe to further the thought leadership shaping wellness within the real estate industry and how we address improving human health for our occupants, in our case, our students whilst they spend their years living with us. The health and wellbeing of our students is central to the creation of our communities, while wellness is a central topic for our university partners. At urbanest we are proud to create a truly unique home for our residents, beyond the performance of the fabric and the quality of the air that they’re breathing, we want them to be a part of building a community within the building

It is a real pleasure for urbanest to be able to describe and showcase this truly unique development to a global audience in New York, and to a far wider audience when the research paper is published.
