urbanest Battersea included in landmark research report
urbanest is proud to feature as a case study in the Global Wellness Institute’s (GWI) latest research report: Build Well to Live Well: Case Studies Volume 1.
Having appeared earlier this year at the GWI’s Wellness Real Estate & Communities Symposium, urbanest continue to work closely with the GWI to explore how a new focus on health and wellbeing is transforming the built environment.
As a leading research organisation for the global wellness industry, the GWI’s latest report takes a deep dive into 13 projects across the UK and US which showcase the diversity and creativity underway in the wellness real estate sector.
One of these projects is urbanest Battersea.
As the UK’s tallest Passivhaus building, and the UK’s first multi-residential and Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) UKNC 2018 assessment to achieve BREEAM Outstanding in Post-construction stage, urbanest Battersea is part of the innovation driving the world’s fastest-growing wellness market.
It is also the first student housing development to participate in the WELL for Residential Pilot, further indication of urbanest’s sector leading credentials in sustainable development.
The WELL for Residential Pilot is an International Well Building Institute IWBI programme in development to test and refine how the WELL standard can best apply to different types of residential spaces. During the pilot stage, urbanest Battersea, along with others, will work with the IWBI to provide feedback to help refine the new standard so that is applicable in designing, building, and maintaining future homes that enhance health and wellbeing.
The GWI’s report details key takeaways from the case studies, and the changing landscape of wellness real estate.
