Our properties are more than just homes for students. Many also serve as hubs for the local community, providing facilities and dedicated spaces for residents and businesses.

For example, urbanest City features a free-to-enter museum and gallery space showcasing a 2,000-year-old section of London’s Roman Wall. This is complemented by a community café, welcoming both our residents and the wider public. At urbanest Westminster Bridge, local businesses thrive within our co-working spaces, while the swimming pool and gym are open to the public and local schools at various times throughout the week.

Giving Rising Talent a Chance

We recognise that living and studying in London can be financially challenging. That’s why, since 2018, we have partnered with the educational charity Ark, providing fully funded accommodation and a bursary place at a London university for 17 students from disadvantaged backgrounds every year.

To date, we have contributed more than £1 million to the scheme, which recently expanded to include urbanest Battersea, helping even more students access the education they deserve.

At urbanest, Everyone Should Feel at Home

urbanest is home to a wonderfully diverse group of students from all over the world, and we are committed to reflecting this diversity within our own workforce.

We take great pride in the warm, inclusive environment we create for our residents—and we extend that same welcome to our employees, whether they work in our properties or at head office.

Our commitment to fairness and inclusivity means we ensure:

  • Unbiased recruitment and selection processes
  • Fair and transparent performance management and pay awards
  • Equitable promotion and retention across all levels of the business

At urbanest, we believe in creating spaces where everyone—residents, employees, and local communities—can thrive.
